Bug Off Pest Control Center offers Career Training Courses throughout the year. We are dedicated to preparing professionals for success. The Pest Management Career Training Course is for those wishing to become licensed pest management professionals in New York.

Our graduates are employed by large pest control companies and government agencies while others have established their own successful businesses. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Under no circumstances will registration be allowed at the door. Our Career Training Center is located at 1085 Saint Nicholas Ave, (164-165 St.) in Northern Manhattan. The cost for the full course is $650.00. This fee includes the training manuals. There are no additional charges.

Students must be at least 17 years old to participate in this course. This course consists of classroom lectures, homework assignments, and final exam. A minimum grade of 70 and attendance at all sessions are required to pass. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate which will allow them to sit for the state exams. Students will receive complete information on how to register for the exams.

Presently, the NYS exam fee is $100.00. Once students pass, they will receive a Technician’s license. The 3-year, renewable license fee is $450.00. New York State requires Technicians to work for a Registered Pesticide Business for a minimum of 1 year before they canĀ  upgrade to full Commercial Applicator status.
