19 Sep Chemotecnica’s Jornadas 2020 – Virtual Event, August, 2020

“Jornadas Técnicas para Empresas de Control de Plagas” is sponsored by South American pest control product formulator and distributor Chemotecnica. The 2020 edition took place Aug. 19-20, but online instead of in-person due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s one of the biggest industry events in Latin America; there were well over 1, 000 people at the 2019 edition. For this year’s virtual event, more than 2,000 attendees worldwide logged in. In this year’s virtual event, our Andy Linares was one of two U.S. speakers. The other being New Mexico State University Associate Professor Dr. Alvaro Romero who talked about bed bugs. Andy’s presentation on German roaches appeared online on Aug. 19.

Chemotecnica had actually been engaging with pest management professionals (PMPs) throughout the spring and summer of 2020 through its bi-weekly presentations online on a variety of topics.

Linares himself did an “Ask Me Anything” type of presentation on May 28 where Latin American PMPs were able to quiz him about what pest control was like in New York City.
