This seminar dealt with structure-infesting ants including carpenter ants. We reviewed ant biology and behavior, colony development and the identification of single-node and dual-node ant species. After a detailed presentation on carpenter ants, we explored control measures: inspection, mechanical controls and chemical controls – especially bait systems.
